A little sappy of a love line and a bit predictable. The obvious political message didnt need to be smacked in our face as often as it was. When I need political idiology forced on me I'll watch Fox or MSNBC.
The movie is beautiful. The Avatar and Driver idea was fresh and whimsical. A perfect mechanism to do a lot of fun things with the story. I have 11 year old and 15 year old. I did not have much or any issues with the content. The film brings up questions about faith and god(s) . I dont shy away from talking about it with my family. Only makes us understand our faith better. BTW you need to see this in 3D. A must see in the theatres. Home viewing will not do it justice
This was cute and my youngest enjoyed it. Just enough potty humor and dumb jokes to keep the 10-11 year old crowd happy. Cute idea but unlike other summer offerings this has little to offer the adults and older siblings. We enjoyed Up, Transformers 2, Harry Potter 6 and Ice Age 3 MUCH more than this. If you have seen the trailers you have seen the best parts of this film.
The movies are growing more interesting, the characters older and the plot darker. My main Potter fans (children) are growing with them :-) So I think the flm was great and good for my kids. But younger kids may want to be left at home. Fun and humor in the way Young love is handled.
