This was my 1st IMAX 3D experience and I didn't see the 1st Tron. All that aside, I enjoyed the stunning visuals, action sequences, and thumping sound and music. Though I didn't see Tron I, I felt I could follow the plot well enough. Jeff Bridges was the star, especially as the Baby Boomer, quasi-Zen master saver of the world. Only disappointments were Garrett Hedlund, who was largely wooden as the dutiful but brash son; the plot jumping from point to point leaving questions unanswered; and the seemingly after-thought ending. But, from start to almost finish, a feast for eyes and ears . . .
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I am forever grateful that Kenny Ortega, Randy Phillips, et al gave us the opportunity to see MJ at arguably his peak combination of skill, creativity and artistic vision. I am sorry that we will never see how that show would have actually come off, whether live or on DVD. When will we see the new Thriller video!?
My 17 y/o, 13 y/o and I thoroughly enjoyed the flick. Tho the hand-held cam effect had its dizzying moments, I found it much less of a problem than in 'Blair Witch'. The movie kept you jumping without resorting to trip tricks. The characters were engaging (esp. Hud), tho I couldn't follow the dialogue all of the time. The only thing I want to know, where did that thing come from?
