I saw this documentary as part of a double-feature where the Shining played right after. Really interesting dissection of the film. This doc looks at the many theories behind it. They go from the absurd to the, "well, he may be on to something." Director splices dialog with other popular cinema making the film more comical than I thought it would be. Really made me pay more attention to everything in the Shining. Would definitely recommend a viewing of the film following this documentary.

Love the Shining! Never got to see it on the big screen before. Just as scary as it has always been. Great acting, effects are great when put in the context of what was available in the late 70's. This move continues to affirm my fear of big, lonely spaces. Hope they release more classics like this one on the big screen.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
