This is one of the better movies I have seen this year. All of the acting and directing was done well. There was enough suspense to keep you engaged and just enough drama to evoke emotions. The story and moral of the story were well thought out. Not sure there are any acting awards found here because so many of the characters performed well, but possibly a movie award any several catergories.
I am so glad the author was brave enough to write the book and even happier someone was willing to make it a movie. This story needs to be heard and the entire film staff should be commended for the 'award winning' job of portraying it so closely to the book. It was so heartfelt that I started crying several times throughout. All of the actors appeared so connected to their roles that you felt you were experiencing their pain along with them. Please make more movies like this one and maybe we can change the world.
This is the only movie I have seen where the 3D effects actually enhanced the experience. The cinematography well documented these amazing paintings that will never be seen by most humans. The only thing that seemed out of place was at the end regarding the albino alligators; they did not seem relevant to the story. Otherwise, it was most enjoyable.
Every bit as good as the previous pirates movies. Still love seeing them. Adding Penelope Cruz was a nice twist. Hope she is in more of them. Great comedy. Johnny never fails.
Being a non-Woody Allen fan, I was greatly and happily surprised. Owning a home in France and being a history buff, I couldn't help but love this movie. The Parisian scenes, the reference to the many famous Parisian artists from the past, and the comedy kept me entranced every minute. I plan to purchase this movie when it is available because I could watch it over and over.
Dissappointing. Too many unanswered questions so it was difficult to put a plot together - what was going on here? Strange. Acting of main character was very good but that was the only positive note about the movie.
This was not a movie where the previews were the only good parts. There was no dissappointment. Kept us both intrigued from beginning to end. Interesting ending leaving you to wonder if there may be a sequel.
We don't have small children so we went for our own pleasure and thoroughly enjoyed it. I can see how parents with small children may feel the language was strong but also many advanced words of a more mature and intellectual level were incorporated. The story line was well demonstrated and the moral of the story clear cut. It would be of more benefit to young children if the language had been more on their level.
This was a nice change from the past repetitive magic school classes and sports games; the kids have grown up and can now demonstrate what they've learned. It was a bit slower at times but was overall enjoyable. It leaves you in suspense so that you are anxious to see the last one.
Perhaps it is because I've seen other movies recently that I thought were so good, that this one did not compare. The story was intriguing and kept you hanging on although it became predictable later on. The acting and the action scenes were well directed. It was just nothing great.
