My daughter read the series and absolutely loved the books. The movie, however, left a lot to be desired in my opinion. It did not appeal to me as an adult, with the brooding, stalker lead character, Edward, and the long stretches of the "in love" teens staring at each other...but it was perfect for the teenaged girl filled audience that screamed, clapped, and squealed whenever Edward emoted onscreen, or who knew the stories well and enjoyed seeing the characters from the book come alive. It was entertaining, but definitely for one age category. The entire audience was comprised of young girls and their parents. :) Gave me a chuckle or two.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
