I am a Glenn Beck Insider, and I had heard much of what was said in this show before, either on radio or television. However, I took a friend who is unable to watch his Fox News, and may not listen to the radio show, and she loved it. I was somewhat annoyed when he spent a few minutes promoting his new book, and I was occasionally uncomfortable with the fervor of the audience; I felt they were acting more like followers of Glenn Beck than the Constitution. I love Glenn's comedy, and I thought the comedy was great. While I have great respect for our founding fathers and enjoy hearing serious stories and commentary, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't all comedy.
I attended the AMC Best Picture Showcase last year, and was hoping they would do it again. This is a great way to see all the films nominated for best picture and save money. In addition to saving money on tickets, you get free popcorn all day and you're only making one trip to the theater. Plus, it's at AMC, where you can see there IS a difference. My only negative comment is that, unlike last year, they didn't provide free soda all day.
