Not really a Star Trek fan but wife wanted to go. Went to see it in IMAX (not the really big IMAX) and it was spectacular. Not to mention there was an earthquake in the middle of the battle scene which really gave it a sense of realism! Really enjoyed it, don't have to be a Star Trek fan to enjoy.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
