This movie was fun and mildly funny. But it certainly didnt come close to the raves that its been getting. The writing was pretty drippy / schlocky / overly sentimental. The gags were decent. Especially the scene where all the main characters were selecting bridesmaids dresses... but then again, such a scene with such a movie title best be good. It was kind of sad to see that Melissa McCarthy (Megan) stole the movie with a cast like Kristen Whig (Annie) and Maya Rudolph (Lillian.) But it also goes to show how talented Melissa McCarthy really is. SHe is really great in this movie. Wendi McLendon-Covey (Rita) was also exceptional although conservative Mom's may cringe... hahaha! Take that!
Not worth the price of the ticket, but definitely worth the wait for on-demand or major network broadcast (hope someone gets that joke.)
