I was disappointed by the level of departure, with the book ... far more than in the past. I was also disappointed with the unnecessary focus on minor subplots. Did the Producer decide the audience could only take so much, and then pick subplots (some almost invented) easiest to exploit? Sving grace was the return of many original cast members and major plots/tie-ins. Else this might have come across as a near failure. What happened to the ending? The book ending was well establish beyond Dumbledore's death ... why wasn't the movie? Given the age of the actors, it should have been a natural and fitting ending! However, based on the movie's ending, I'd expect a try at another sequel. Don't !
Will Smith's end is not condonded. Never-the-less, the meaningful, thought-provoking plot was excellent, as was the acting. This probably won't make the Academy list, but should be seriously considered.
