It is rare to watch a movie that is so perfectly executed. An excellent script, perfectly cast, and set in great locations. Well- editing and laugh out loud funny. Hans Zimmer- great sound track. What's not to love? Streep and Baldwin- great chemistry, My favorite, unexpected aspect of the movie was John Krasinski...an exceptional actor with comedic timing--could be a great love interest in his own right if developed properly.
Robert Downey Jr. was brilliant. His physical sense of comedy and his innate sense of timing make this man a legend. Jude Law was good not great. Probably miscast or simply misinterpreted by the director, A love interest was great idea, and Rachel McAdams was decent but either miscast, misdirected or over-edited. The double crossing female role was better played by a Jodie Foster in Maverick. The sets were incredible and the closing graphics were remarkable. Net-net a fabulous movie carried by Downey Jr and fabulous sets and stunt doubles.
It is loaded with humor albeit immature humor. My 15 year olds loved it. It was very funny, although, if you are offended by puerile humor you should not go. Its all about sex - although there is no frontal nudity. Most reviewers are too old to review this movie. It is not meant for a mature audience. It is highly immature...just what a bunch of teenagers want to watch.
