I had high expectations going to see this, and usually, those are dangerous things to have going into a movie, especially a high profile summer blockbuster. There may be a few spoilers in this review, so please consider yourself warned. However, I was not disappointed at all, The Dark Knight delivers on all levels. It had complex characters, emotional, intellectual and inner conflict, as well as the expected physical conflicts. I just wish The Joker had more time, and we got a little bit of a back story on him. He came out of nowhere, and went directly back there. Christian Bale did another great job portraying The Dark Knight, and all the turmoil that surrounds being him. If there was one let down in the movie, I would have to say, and this is my opinion, that the ending was soft. The right thing was done, but I feel it could have been done stronger as with the rest of the movie. And for the record, Heath's "Joker" introduction scene was my personal favorite of any movie as how a character gets introduced to the movie (I'm talking about the round table meeting, not the bank job) I hope you take the time and go see this movie, I don't think there should be the gaggles of under 10 that I saw there. They will probably have some bad nights sleeping.
