Fell asleep twice in the movie. Moved very slowly. Did not do Matt Damon justice, as he is a fantastic actor!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Not really a big western fan......but, this movie was so well done you have to love it! Didn't know it was a Spielberg touch until seeing his name in the end, should have known. The girl in the movie was phenomenal, of course Matt Damon who is always wonderful, Jeff Bridges and Josh Brolin as well were superb! And the guy who was head of Brolin's posse, was outstanding, I believe that would be Barry Pepper.........
Go and see this movie, don't know much about the original one with John Wayne, but this one is worth every penny to see!!!!!

Being an African American woman, this movie hit many nerves and opened many issues just being and surviving as a Black Woman or 'Colored Girl' in America! This movie had many parts that were absolutely riveting! I found myself frozen and unable to move at many of the scenes, they hit pretty hard. Each and every actor was absolutely fabulous in executing their crafts. Tyler Perry has a uncanny knack of yanking your emotions out whether you want to reveal them or not!
I had no idea this movie was this powerful as I never saw the play. I also happen to be a huge Tyler Perry fan.........Keep them coming Mr. Perry your work continues to astound and bless many.........Much, much success to you and all the actors involved........
