Good movie.... but

Having read the all the books (multiple times) I was happy/sad about this movie. Yes, it at times, faithfully follows the book. However, major plot points were missing or completely messed up. The over all feel of the movie is that it was rushed and the director knew but didn't "get" the material. The action sequence were cool and Jasper's back story, while abbreviated, was adequate. Rosalie's back story and her retelling was completely screwed up. SPOILER ALERT (Why would Bella call her from the island after that?) Also the Bella didn;t have near enough Jacob angst, especially after the fight. Now the Volturi "add-on", while not in the book, does help w/ some of the back story missing from the other two movies. I could go on, but you get the idea. Good contact and well hit, but no way near a home run.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
