The humor was fresh and entertaining. The special and visual effects were great and surpassed the first movie. Ron did a good job. The kittens were sooo cute. (Yes I love cats)! Now, I do have to say there were a few spots where I lost interest in the movie. I was drawn in at the very beginning but some scenes left me wanting more. I liked the fight scenes but some were just too long and got old after awhile. I did enjoy the fight scene at the end between the prince and hellboy. It had humor, great timing and was intense. It was nice to see Liz's character become more developed then the first movie. Yes this movie did have a few times when it got slow but overall it was a terrific movie. I would recommend this movie for anyone 16 and over.
I want to begin by saying I am a huge spoof movie fan. I love the Naked Gun series and the Scary Movie series. I love Leslie Nelson and think he is a great comedy actor with great timing. But what made him do this movie?? Is he getting senile?? The first 25 minutes were funny and I laughed my head off. Then I was hit with the remaining time and it was just plain awful. I was so bored. I am not going to talk about storylines because spoof movies don't have them but this movie surely needed some direction. It was senseless with zero comedy factor. There were regular gags that went on for so long they lost the comedy factor. It went into, when will this be over factor. There was very little to laugh at. The "bad guy" was ridiculous and so easy to defeat. He could have killed the hero of the spoof so many times but didn't. His character was plain and boring with nothing funny about him. The actor was not very good at timing or comedy. I am glad I waited to rent this movie instead of seeing it in the theater. If you are a huge spoof fan then go ahead and rent it. Just watch the first 25 minutes and you will enjoy yourself. Anyone not a real fan don't bother on this one.
I went into this thinking Shyamalan got past his last flops to bring us a quality movie. I was disappointed. They tried to tie in scientic theory as a plausable reason. It went horribly wrong. They run from some mysterious "illness-attack". The story expects the audience to understand more then what most people are familiar with these days. The principles of the story do not make one bit of sense. The movie is a jumble. Stories are introduced but never fully explained. I think the ending was the best part and I mean the trouble in another country twist. Mark's character was dry and uninteresting. His acting wasn't up to par either. I would not waste your money on this movie. You may want to see it on DVD when it comes out on rental, but not so sure it is worth it. I can't believe I spent $10 to see this movie!!! I do not recommend spending your money to see this movie at the theater. You will be very disappointed. The movie leaves you disoriented and confused. The first signs of sickness, be careful.
This movie shows what can happen to people when they become lazy. It is a sharp realistic future if we continue on our current path. The story/moral will go over kids heads but adults will find it interesting. I think it is a heartwhelming and cute film. The kids will love Wall-E just as he is, adorable little robot. Pixar did a fine job with the animation. I was hooked and forgot it was an "animated" film. There are many points young kids will not understand but I think they will still love the movie. I will be taking my 5 year old niece and 8 1/2 year old nephew to see this movie. At first, when it seemed to end on a sad note, thankfully this did not happen or else I would not bring them. Wall-E's personality was very strong and adorable. It had a cute love story to it that everyone will enjoy. I gave this film 4 stars because of the intense themes many children will not understand. This movie's main target is children and they may have made it a little too complex for many young children. I still recommend this movie for everyone. There were many children, of many ages, in the theater and they laughed a lot along with the adults. They cheered and were in awe and that is what I base my recommendation for children to see this movie.
I wasn't sure about this movie but I went anyway. I really liked the story and how it developed. My 5 year old niece was frightented of a few of the intense kung fu scenes. My 8 year old nephew loved this movie. The story shows how if you have the determination to do something go ahead and you will be rewarded. There were many parts that adults would enjoy just as much as kids will. The entire theatre was laughing so much. The movie enlightens you at the same time entertaining. This movie is worthy of going to see again and again. My nephew's favorite part is when Kung Fu Panda defeats the bad guy. The good guys win. Go see this movie, you will love this movie.
I have never read the books nor have I ever heard of the history to this movie. It didn't matter, I liked this movie a lot. The story follows two sisters who love the same man. Only, he is the king and married. The story has a lot of twists and intrigue. It has a good story about how sisters can grow apart over small things but come back together during the hard times to support each other. The story shows the evils of greed and envy and how it can destroy lives. I would recommend this movie to anyone. I would not let little kids see this movie but it would do some teenagers good.
I am glad I waited for the DVD to rent. It would have been awful if I had spent a lot of money on this movie. I heard it spoofed Pirates of the Caribbean but never saw it. The storyline is through the 300 movie starring Gerrard Butler. it spoofs that movie plus a few others and some certain entertainment and rich personalities. I personally like the Scary Movie series but this movie falls way short of doing any justice to a spoof movie. I can't believe Kevin Sorbo was in this movie. He can do better. This movie was just plain vulgar and rude and stupid. I would not even spend movie to see it on DVD let alone Blu Ray. I'm glad I have netflix. The sexual parts surely should have pushed this movie into an R rating. If you want to see good spoof movies then check out the Scary Movie series it is much better and entertaining.
The movie lived up to its title with plenty of sex scenes. It lived up to the HBO series and didn't deviate too much. This was a good movie to watch to my surprise. I wasn't sure if it would be good, but I was wrong. I took a chance and was delited and entertained. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattral are A-list actors and did a fine job on the big screen. I think it is worth the money to go and see this movie when the kids are at school. The story kept a pretty good pace but did have a few slow parts. The time was a bit long and could have been toned down to less then 2 hours. If you are looking for a wild and exciting time at the movies then you will enjoy this movie. Whether at the theater or waiting for the DVD this is a keeper.
Jackie Chan and Jet Li are amazing in all the fight sequences. This is a good marital arts film. The story could have been more detailed. There are a few times when you lose interest in the movie and wait for something to happen. The plot is harder to figure out but still worth sticking it out to the end. This movie is a theater experience not to be missed. It is well worth the money to go and see it. The DVD would be great but not as awesome as on the big screen. If you are looking for your typical Chan movie, this comes very close.
Karen Allen and Harrison Ford together again makes for another great movie for the Indiana series. Harrison looks great even after 20 years. He is amazing to watch. The story is a bit odd for an Indiana film but it is great fun. See if you can catch Area 21 and hints from the first movie. The storyline was good but did have a few holes in it. One storyline that started the movie just disappeared halfway into the film. Shia is a growing actor and does a great young Indiana with major stunts and fight sequences. Cate Blanchett is amazing as a short black haired KGB agent. The characters are believable. The ending was a bit on the strange side but still enjoyable. This movie is well worth the money. I would recommend the big screen/theater. I don't think a DVD would do justice to this movie. The action is intense and exciting.
