Outstanding! So happy when a movie lives up to the hype. Great job, Steven Spielberg. Astounding is too mild an adjective to describe Daniel Day-Lewis!

Very Enjoyable - No Need To Be A Baseball Fan

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. In my opinion, one of Brad Pitts' best performances, and Jonah Hill was outstanding! The movie does a good job of taking you through the different emotions experienced by the management, the players, and the fans during that season... and it mixes in lots of comedic relief.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this movie. Brilliant acting throughout. Very moving in so many ways. The audience in our theater applauded when the movie ended... in Alabama, no less. I've not read the book, but now I plan to do so. Highly recommend seeing this movie.

Cast was great, movie made you laugh (a lot) and cry (a little). My husband and I both enjoyed it very much, as did the couple beside us. Not your typical predictable romantic comedy.

A Real Winner

We so enjoyed this movie and can and do recommend it to anyone -- even a family with children (and that is a rare thing these days). When you know in advance how the story ends, but you still find yourself with butterflies in your stomach, sitting forward in your seat, and in your mind cheering for both Big Red and Penny, then you know that it is a job well done.
Likely a movie that I will add to my DVD library.
