Expect something more akin to an indy movie when you go see this. It's shot differently than something with a AAA movie budget, and the expectation of that kind of budget may hurt some peoples ability to enjoy this movie for what it is. In addition I felt the pacing on the movie felt very tight. I didn't check the time once during this movie. Guys this is one of the least painful date movies you will experience (just keep an open mind and expect a low budget movie). In the interest of full disclosure. I have read the book and I'm not a huge fan, though it is decent for what it is (being neither teenage nor a girl I was not the target audience). I felt this is one of the rare occurrences where the movie outshines the book.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
