I took my grandchildren to see Hugo. The story moved slowly it did not fully hold the attention of the three and five year old. The older children 9 and up enjoyed the picture. two of the adults found it a little slow for them as well. So I would hold it for the very young children and stick to the preteens.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Denzel and Chris are good. But what makes this movie worth seeing is the action effects on the big screen. Not much plot. Not needed really. The effects are great. Don't wait for the dvd.
