Of course this is my opinion, but there was no lead up to the pilots deploying overseas. Such as: Life before they decided to become pilots. The recruiting process or the events that led to the experiment. A quick peek into the meetings that led up to them (govt) deciding to let blacks fly airplanes. A quick timeline: Sports would have been a great way to do this. Jesse Owens comes to mind. NFL, where there blacks in the NFL at that time, NBA and MLB. A tie in to show the young generation where this nation was at this time. Who was President? Etc. Was surprised the Italian mom showed no resistance...was this true? Was the United States the biggest of all racists? Show more of this in the movie if it was the case. Great for Black History Month though and will force me to do more research of my own.

Great 3D Experience

I couldn't wait to see this movie. The 3D effects was the best I have seen so far. If you are going to see it then 3D would be the only way to see this other than maybe IMAX which I have never done, yet! Story line plot...yada yada yada.... could have been better but its a kids movie. My 6 year old had no problem with this so its just a matter of knowing your kid. If they can watch transformers then this is a breeze.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
