Lives up to all the hype

It is pretty rare that a movie hyped up this much actually comes anywhere near living up to the hype. Heath Ledger's performance was nothing short of amazing. You could vaguely tell it was him behind the makeup, but his character was so believable that you forget it was Ledger, he disappeared into the role that much.
Overall the story was both darker and more positive than the last, showing the depths the human soul can sink to, while also showing how good we can all be.
Bale again nails the part of Batman. He is so good in the role that he has re-defined Batman to an entire new generation.
Aaron Eckhart has been singled out as a slightly weak point in the film as Harvey Dent, but I think he played both sides perfectly.
Even the action sequences are better than most we've seen from any other movie, including a phenomenal chase scene.
Anyone wondering if this one is as good as people are saying, it really is that good.
Side Note: Kids under 10 might be a little scared with this one. It is considerably more violent than any other Batman films, including some riveting scenes with the Joker and Harvey Two-Face.
