I am a long time Star Trek fan and if you are like me you will hate this movie. While the action is great and the FX are stunning, the story line is terrible. I will not spoil by revealing much but I have to comment on two things. One is the love connection involving two characters. They have got to be kidding. The second is major disconnect between things we have seen in the original series and things that happened in the film that would make these things impossible. They did pay decent homage to famous lines by the characters in the series but that does not save this film. I am totally frustrated and you will be, too.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
