I liked Deathproof much more than Planet Terror. But I wish more directors would go out on a limb and make something creative in this day and age. Well done boys, this one was one for the books.
By the time the movie grabs your attention, you are ready to leave. This is just another one of those bland movie with a lot of hype over some big name actors. Save your money for the rental.
The W brothers have finally done it. They have taken a movie that slingshots you into kung fu monkey scenes sprinkled with ninjas. This movie is good enough to buy on DVD if you have a high def tv and a blue ray player, but if you don't skip it. A+ on the visuals and fantasy scale.
I think letting two movies out in a year is starting to take its toll on the credibility humor scale. I felt like I was bored with depression. This movie may be for some, but not me.
This movie was just a fun and easy going comedy that will take your mind off of the world for a while. No surprises or twists that aren't revealed in the preview, but I had some laughs. Worth a matinee price.
This movie did act as a sort of composite of the last 20 action movies you have seen. However, in today's society with the stress of the average American I welcome the reality vacation. It was good to let go, and just become entertained by explosions. Screw you critics.
My only beef is that the previews were misleading. The suspense, the action, and even Jeff Daniels are far to scarce to make this movie enjoyable. Don Cheadle is a great supporting actor in almost any movie, but I don't find him able to carry an entire movie buy himself. I got bored and fought off the sandman throughout.
This movie was dry in some parts, but nevertheless oozes with Coen brother's creativity. The actors alone are worth going to see in the theaters. Even if the script was terrible, which it wasn't, a movie with this caliber of talent should not be passed up.
When did Star Wars become so commercialized that Lucas decided he would rather make a quick buck than keep the legend alive. Take your kids, but leave your memories of a good George Lucas film at home. It just seemed to generic.
