The Day the Earth Stood Still

Really looking forward to this remake of a sci-fi classic ... ended up being really disappointed. Aside from some nice special effects, there was very little else about this movie worth remembering. Aside from Keanu and Jennifer, everyone else was badly mis-cast, especially Kathy Bates. Save your money and wait for the Red Box release ... you can watch it at home for a buck.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Slumdog Millionaire

Within its genre as a comedy/dramatic film, the best movie my wife and I have seen during 2008. Should definitely garner some attention at the Oscars.
