This was an extraordinary movie that kept me at the edge of my seat. The casting and performances were perfect, and I assumed it would be a Hollywood "formulaic" movie, but upon researching the facts after seeing this film, it was far from formulaic. Tony Goldwyn has the DNA to be an outstanding filmmaker, and he sure achieved greatness with this one. He made some very unusual choices, which only enhanced the "thriller" aspect of the film. I see that it has been compared to "Erin Brochovich," but I think its depth in story and characterization far exceeds that movie (although I enjoyed "Erin"---just not as much as this). Also, I'm a New Englander (from CT, not MA), so I almost felt "at home." I'm sure it will get many Oscar nods and hopefully Oscar wins. A great movie.
