I saw "The Fighter" this afternoon: 30 minutes too long, writing too thin, story too predictible, acting too method, $11 ticket too much. Trailer too slick

Ya, it's stunning eye candy. But the storyline is predictible from the jump. Take Poccahonis make her blue and mix it a big helping of Dances With Wolves and a pinch of Apocalypse Now, viola Avatar!
Of course the White Man is evil, duh!
See it for the effects, not the story. I did notice that the 3D fades after a while.

This is a movie about how things aren't always what they seem, and the choices you make today will color your tomorrows.
It's an enjoyable movie that gives the viewer more than just laughs. You take something home with you, and that's rare these days.
