The Rifftrax gang creates another MST3K live for the crowd. Even though we weren't in the same theater, it still felt like a live show. The audience at my theater was certainly into it, laughing and even clapping. The shorts included were fun, another trippy 70's short "What is Nothing?" proved that lots of drugs were involved in filmmaking. Lowtax of SomethingAwful.com provided the animations for his daughter's stories, which were perhaps more coherent than the feature. The feature itself was delightfully cornball and the riffers kept up the pace. We shall never forget portcullis or seize the bone!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Good music and dancing, mediocre plot

The first act is very entertaining while setting up the characters and plot. The traditional burlesque acts are the best part of the show. But the new songs by Christina Aguilera and Cher were jarring and over produced like most pop songs. They also didn't really feel like they fit into the movie. Cher's song really didn't sound like something that would be performed at the club, and neither did Christina's love song. The antagonist characters felt stock and one dimensional, their conflicts and resolution too pat. However, I doubt anyone goes to this movie looking for great storytelling. So it is entertaining if just for spectacle .
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The Rifftrax guys brought the funny again. Two mind-bending and hilarious shorts and a truly classic B movie. I wasn't familiar with the guest riffer, but I guess he did a good job.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I loved MST3k, but I have to say that these guys have gotten even better. This time out they've hunted down the best of the worst holiday shorts, and skewered them.
