Forgetting Sarah Marshall is far from forgettable & a disaster. It's one of the most unforgettable comedies that I have ever seen. I don't think that I have ever laughed this hard with tears coming out while watching a comedy since seeing either The 40-Year-Old Virgin or Eurotrip. Judd Apatow alums writer/actor Jason Segel & director Nicholas Stoller have created what I would call a comedic gem. The story of this break-up Segel's character Peter goes through is insanely funny. The way his character tries to get back into the dating scene is so well done. Segel did an amazing job & I will look forward to more of his work in the future. Kristen Bell plays the other lead role of Sarah Marshall with perfection. Besides her outstanding work on the late Veronica Mars, this role is easily the best of her career, yet alone her movie career. Many great film roles are in store for Ms. Bell in the near future. As for Mila Kunis. What more is there to say than WOW!!! She was amazing & definitely showed more depth than I ever expected. Her character is so sweet & of course extremely sexy. Next, there is Russell Brand who practically stole every scene that he was in. He is definitely one guy to look out for in the future. Then there is the one & only Jonah Hill. His character is kinda creepy, but insanely funny as well. Last but not least there is Paul Rudd. He was fantastic in every scene he was in, but definitely deserved more screen time. Rudd will for sure get his lead role pretty soon. As for the rest of the supporting cast including SNL's Bill Hader... it was pretty good. The scenery was awesome & the locals mixed into the cast was great too.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
