In particular, I find myself fondest of Karl Urban's portrayal of Leonard McCoy. He was spot on, and I was damned impressed. Quinto protrayed an excellent Spock, and as much a I was deadset against Pine portraying Kirk, I have to admit he did do a fine job as well. As a female trekkie whose first crush ever was on Leonard Nimoy as Spock (true story...I loved him SO much when I was a little girl), I was thrilled not only to see Nimoy in the movie, but came close to getting choked up at the end when Nimoy reads Roddenberry's (close to) original opening. An impressive reimagining of my favorite franchise. I think Gene Roddenberry would be impressed and honored.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
