The reviews for Monsters vs Aliens shortchange what is at times a truly laugh-out loud parody of 1950s science fiction films such as The Fly, The Blob and, of course, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman. Many of the jokes are aimed squarely at the adults in the audience and some themes and scenes are a little strong for the kids to whom the film is marketed. However, there is enough action and goofy humor to keep the little ones engaged and the humor is sophisticated enough for the adults. Well worth seeing, I'll be there for the sequel.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
