The film was good film...costumes, make-up, set design. All the actors were good, but the Queen of Hearts...Helena Bonham Carter, was fantastic. The IMAX 3D was not impressive...so don't waste your time trying to get into one of those theaters. I regular old screening will do. A la Burton, the movie is dark but there are many comical moments as well. There's also a battle scene...which could have been left out.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Please save your money! The previews for this movie were great but it falls short. Benicio was the wrong man for the role. He mumbled and was monotone. It was almost comical. Hopkins seemed to think that he was still playing the father from When the River Runs Through. Blunt was impressive considering how poorly the story was executed. Weaving was impressive but again, what a waste of talent in this role. Where was the horror? There were some excellent special effects, but that's about it. Audience members even walked out of the show. So sad! Who's afraid of the big bad wolfman? Not I
