Anyone who has gone and seen all of the Scary Movie parodies knows what they are getting into. These movies are so silly; you can't help but laugh. If you are some one that is expecting high quality comedy, out of this series, then stay home and don't watch it. If you like goofy stuff like this then go. The movie definitely makes you laugh, not always, just sometimes.
To be able to do what those kids did, would definitely be something, I could only dream about. The movie is worth going to see. It was a little predictable but not bad enough to get bored. If you get lost in movies like I do you will have fun along with the characters.
I nearly destroyed a couple of finger nails from the tension the film builds. I definitely enjoyed this movie from start to finish. As others have stated the fact that the movie is based of a true story (whether or not it has been "hollywooded" which we all know it has been) made it all the more real. There were no twists that made you go, "That wouldn't happen in real life!" Go see this movie! It will definitely get your adrenaline going.
This movie left me feeling pretty good. It was a little predictable but that's OK. I love Frances McDormand and Amy Adams reminds me of Nicole Kidman(whom I adore). The cast overall was well rounded and did well together. When we went, we were definitely the youngest people in the audience(the theater was full for a weekday) and I am 40 years old. Overall I would recommend going to see this movie.
I will never learn! I wonder why I leave the theater asking myself, "Why did I come to this movie? Why didn't I listen to the little voices in my head?" I went to this movie with no expectations, standards, or sense of intelligence, as you have to do for this type. I will have to say it shattered those low levels and went even lower. This was another painful movie to watch. That's all I will give to this movie.
I will call this movie one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. The acting was weak, the direction was even weaker, and the constant time rewind, flashbacks were excrutiatingly painful-it got to the point in the theater to where the entire audience sitting around me(and it was packed) was sighing and saying, "not again, what is this!" This movie made our secret service look like a bunch of incompitent fools. Then to tie it up in the end the way they did......I have seen that done a thousand times and a fifth grader could have wrote that ending. I am not a big Forrest Wittacker fan, and I will not apologize for that, as some may read and disagree in horror. I just don't like his acting. Dennis Quaid seemed like he was being forced to act the way he did and the terrorists were the smartest guys in the movie. I am also no fan of fear mongering, the terrorists are coming to get us, movies. It's that simple. I am not even going to get started on the beginning of the movie, since if I have to rewind it through my mind one more time, I will have to slam my head against the wall. This movie belongs in everybodies "wait until it comes to HBO" category, since you are already paying for cable/satellite TV. Anyway, don't waste your money on the theater of the DVD. I will concede one thing the action it definitely had a ton of non-stop action. That's the only reason I gave it a star.
I will repeat the title of my review the movie was..........not so bad. The reviews for Jumper have been awful and surprisingly I have to disagree, I have seen worse, much worse. It really wasn't that bad. It was doable. Three of us ventured to see it all expecting disappointment but in the end we all agreed it was better than we heard and read. You must check your senses at the door.....it is fantasy. Some movies you just can't be that hard on. I would say the movie is a setup for a TV series, which it probably would have better suited for but all in all it was OK.
This movie is worth going to see! I would have to agree with other movie goers-this movie is probably not suitable for small children but you, the parent, will have to be the judge of that. There are alot of scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat or actually made me jump! The CGI was incredible and cute. A definite must see for 'possibly' the whole family.
The movie was good not the best but OK. It was funny and it had Matthew Shirtless countless times so that helped ALOT!! It stretched the imagination as many movies do anymore. But like I said he was shirtless. lol It never hurts to look at Kate Hudson either, I love her acting. Overall I would say go see it.
Although the premise is not a great moral story it still does justice since she makes a mistake and takes the responsiblity head on and makes the right choice. The movie was FANTASTIC! The acting was top notch and so believable you would think you were looking in on a real family. Definitely go see this movie!
