Easily the best vampire movie I've seen!

This is easily the best vampire movie I've seen in a very long time!
Fright Night is a great, modern remake of the original. Anton Yelchin does well and is easily likable (although it is different to hear him speak without a severe accent, à la his character in Star Trek). I couldn't think of anyone else better to play Colin Farrell's character. He was excellent in that role.
The story goes along with the original, but with a modern atmosphere. This seemed a little more geared toward the suspense and thriller side of things rather than comedy, but it still contained some good laughs. Even though the story is somewhat predictable, it didn't cross into the "stupid suspense" like I expected at first. The suspense was great, tense, and thrilling.
The 3D was done very well too. It didn't overuse it or abuse it. Well played.
I'm not a big horror fan; I consider this more a suspense and thriller movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I expected much more from this film. My kids and I were very anxious to see this. Overall it was okay. It definitely had its funny moments (most of it in the trailer). What I didn't expect was how much vulgarity was in the movie. The many f-bombs and sexual implications really distracted me from enjoying the film.
One of my main reasons for seeing this was to see how well Jesse Eisenberg could do in another (non-Social Network) role. I thought he did pretty well.
As for the movie, I'd pass this up in the theaters and maybe watch it on DVD for cheap.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

A Must See Movie!!

This is an excellent movie! And yes, I have read the book too. I will admit, the book is better, but only because it goes into more detail. However, the movie does stay really close to the book which is a very nice surprise. There wasn't a lot of changes that separated the two. The main elements of the book was carried over to the movie, which I was very happy to see; even some of the minor and subtle details was also included. The movie effectively captured the imagination, most of the story, certainly the action, and also the romance. I expected a lot, and I wasn't disappointed. Alex Pettyfer and Timothy Olyphant did great in their roles as John and Henri, respectively. Dianna Agron was sweet and adorable as Sarah, John's love interest, and very likable. And, Teresa Palmer was quite the impressive little fireball as Number Six (still loving her accent!) A great story and great characters make for a great movie. I Am Number Four says I am four stars! Loved it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Call me nostalgic... it's now #1 on my list!

I was so hyped for this movie the minute I saw the first trailer for it almost a year ago.... and boy, did it deliver! I was so immersed into the movie from the very beginning, and I mean from the Walt Disney logo coming on the screen! Movies like this is what IMAX 3D was made for. The story... did a great job at linking the two movies, and if you didn't see the first one, the flashbacks did great at filling in the blanks. The characters... were very likable (or hateable, depending on who they were) and made it easy to connect to them. The actors... did an awesome job in their roles- newcomers Hedlund & Wilde did very well and bringing back Bridges & Boxleitner from the original was a huge win! The CG... was outstanding! Even with the subtle and "bland" colors of the grid, it was awe-inspiring to say the least. The depth at which they were able to create added to the huge vastness of the Tron world. And props to Disney for doing the best they could at making a young Flynn. I've read some criticism of how it "looked" CG, but there were times it was really difficult to tell. I'd rather them do this than to try to film with odd angles to keep from filming the young Flynn straight on. Excellent job! The sound... is said makes up 90% of a video, and this is a prime example. The sounds and effects will totally surround you and pull you into the movie. The music... is entirely done by Daft Punk, and what an amazing soundtrack! Again, the audio plays a huge role. And the cameo appearance of them as DJ's in the club was perfect! Call me nostalgic, but growing up with Tron definitely adds to the appeal of this movie now. Tron lives on... and with a very high 5 stars!
(Oh, on a side note: I would just like to say, Ms. Olivia Wilde, I would gladly get stuck in Tron for you any day!) ...ok, maybe 5.5 stars! Lol
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Alice in Wonderland was real good and awesomer in IMAX 3D. It was visually stunning, the characters were captivating, the special effects were imaginative, and the storyline was great.. Good morals to the story... There's a "hero" inside all of us whether we see it or not, sometimes it takes a little adversity to bring it out- BELIEVE. And... Live YOUR life, don't let others live it for you. 4.5 out 5 stars!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief was absolutely, entertainingly awesome! Great job mixing the mythical greek world & characters with modern times! Had good action, special fx, and comedy in it! Good family movie! I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was better than I thought it would be and it brought more laughs than I expected.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
