I like most read some of the "critics" reviews and think that a good portion of them are out of touch with reality or simply just touched!
As for this version of Robin Hood... It's different, I think I would have liked to see a different actress as Marian, but then again I don't care for Cate Blanchett at all. The 360 camera work is getting old and in my opinion was overdone in this effort. the action was predictable, but good. It wasn't as bloody as they could have done it so my thanks there. My biggest negative on this film was it seemed to rush the romance between Robin and Marian.. but than again my son mentioned she was alone for 10 yrs.. so I guess the need overtook the development of relationship. Definitely worth seeing ONCE... expect a sequeal the way it left off.
Face it the movie was alot 2 and a half hrs, to be 100% true to the book it would have been at least another hour and a half.... so some of the sub plots were left out, it happens, overall I think it lived up to 98% of the hype. Yes I thought the Da Vinci code ws better, but this would be a keeper in the library of movies at my house. Although I've read the book a couple of times I went back to double check the variance from the ending...
I think it was still worth the price of the ticket.
