I wouldn't give it five stars, because Eddie hasn't done a 5-star rating movie since Coming to America - but it was very enjoyable.
A few times, I thought I'd pee myself laughing, so there were good times and throughout, the pace was pretty much the same. Although there were quite a few awkward parts, the intended effect was pulled-off and special effects were not too shabby either.
I really wish Eddie would get more props for at least trying different things in his career.
Good job, Ed - you're on the right track back to where you were in the 80s - 90s!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

At first, I thought I was having a nightmare, a movie with this kind of budget, couldn't possibly be as bad as it was. But I was wrong.
After the first fifteen minutes, I was ready to get up and leave, but remembered how the first one took a bit to get going, so I stuck it out. Unfortunately for me, I overrode my instincts to get up and demand my money back. It was torturous.
Not only is this sequel bad, but it also falls into the 'Batman and Robin' category of movies (those of you out there who actually watched that trainwreck of a movie know what I mean).
The plot remains the same, demon trying to be human, psychotic girlfriend, and though Abe was given his own love-interest, it didn't make the movie more enjoyable. Rather, it made me, and the few who shelled-out the ten bucks a ticket to go see it, want to roll our eyes and groan. I'm tired of seeing these action stories have some sort of 'love story' or romantic twist to it, unless it's a tragedy.
The only tragedy is that this movie was allowed to get past the test screening.
If a sequel is talked about, and the actor that plays one of the three main characters (Abe) bows out of making the thing - don't move forward. If the actor in question has integrity and doesn't like something about the script, the part or all of the above, then make the changes that would entice them to agree to do the part, or walk away.
However many people decide to spend the cash to watch this flaming bag of dog feces on the silver screen, I'd say to everyone 'it's a rental'. And warn them against going to see something that didn't do the original movie, nor the comic series, justice.
