I went into this with better than average expectations and I was more than pleased! The sparkle rocked! The F/X for the vampires was beautiful. Dakota Fanning's eyes were mesmerizing and creepy at the same time! The F/X were 10 times greater in this movie. I think that with Twilight, the producers didn't know what to expect, not knowing it would be the juggernaut that it was. The producers saw this and stepped it up. I loved the one-liners for Emmett and Jasper-very clever! The scope of the book is followed, keeping true to Meyer's novel, but allowing for some flexibility within the characters. Taylor Lautner did a wonderful job as Jacob, truly diving into it. Overall, a great film and looking forward to Eclipse and hopefully Breaking Dawn!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
