I thought the screenplay adaptation from the book was done really well. There is so much time passage and character development in this book that I thought was translated to the screen brilliantly. I think that Christopher Weitz directed his actors very well and his pacing was very appreciated.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Warm and fun movie about life's many adventures

This film was fantastic on many levels. The opening sequence giving the background of Carl and Ellie was beautiful and touching. The story of friendship, letting go of the past, and putting others before yourself is something that I am glad I got to share with my family.
Don't wait to see this movie at home. See it in the theater especially since the 3D is so well done.
