With a mix of determination and softness Katherine manages to make us laugh, cry and sympathize! The plot was ginerly dealt with in a way that kept the comedy from overwhelming the serious aspects of the story line. Well done.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I believed the agnst of the characters. The situation may be all too real for some.
At a time when too many movies are full of "effects" but only provide a "lack luster" story, Avatar delivers a thoughtful and meaningful vision. When all is said and done, it is the story that makes a great film.
Almost all of the scenes were funny, provocative and thought provoking. Too bad the overall impression upon leaving was that something in how the story was told was lacking.
Heigl and Butler work very well together. Heigl can strike a pose that is very fetching. They manage to keep what would be trite with lesser actors very funny.
While we really enjoyed this movie and the wonderful acting, I can't help but think that the screenplay would have been crisper if this had the advantage of the maturation that only comes when this type of material is first developed in the theater. The inevitable evolution of the dialog would have added much to this already excellent material.
