The movie was a feast for the eyes. (Thanks Taylor Lautner.) It stayed true to the book and story. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Jacob and Bella develop. I thought we would see more of Voltera and the Volturi. After two hours, it left me wanting more...but in a good way. Can't wait for the next installment to come out in June 2010.
I wanted to like this movie, but I couldn't. The story seemed flat and I didn't feel connected with any of the characters. I wish they would have delved more into how Skynet knew about Kyle Reese. How did they know or did they know that he was John Connor's father? If Kyle Reese was #1 on their list to exterminate, why didn't they kill him once he was caught. Also, I wish they would have shown how Marcus Wright was turned into a half human-half terminator.
The movie's ending left me with more questions than answers.
Who would have known that in the first ten minutes I would develop a lump in my throat and a few tears in my eyes. Luckily that moment past and I found myself in awe and amazement. This movie is touching, sad, uplifting, humorous, exciting, and adventurous. The story is a very simple one that can teach anyone, regardless of age, to never give up on their dream.
