It had the potential, but it felt like they lost funds or ran out of time. It rushed near the end, and had a few characters introduced and immediately killed off... seem unnecessary to even have them at all.
The overall concept was Awesome, but it wasn't played out to it's fullest. Over wise, it would have been a Great Comic Book or Graphic Novel. A still good movie to see, but maybe on DVD/Blueray.
The film's attempt to make things feel real by making a "documentary" was genius. I absolutely loved the unique look and feel of the film as well. I recommend this to all alien, sci-fi, and Children of Men/Cloverfield fans. Though I do wish for some more explanations, just for my own desire for more =P Maybe with the BluRay release, a small documentary of the documentary of the back story =) Unless a sequel is on the horizon.
I wanted to wait to read the graphic novel to see what I felt of the film as a film, and I believe it was an excellent one. Great visuals, interesting plot, wonderful acting and characters, and excellent overall delivery.
Horrible acting followed by bad story flow. It had potential but failed, but I did enjoy the creepy stuff, main reason I even watched it. The effects were cool, but they did had a habit of supervising some, like her contacts for the blue eyes... and her apparent camel toe...
