Good but Pointless?

The unknown makes Logan cool. This back story is like a 2 hour story on why the Consitution was written on parchment instead of papyrus- doesn't matter and doesn't add anything to the subject. Origins adds little to the 'future' movies that have followed or that may come. The story was OK, effects were great...when used; costumes non-existent, characters- Wolverine was basically the only one that plays any large part in the XMen future (small stint by Gambit- in the the comics anyway); Sabretooth is a second/third tier character in the future, all of the rest are complete unknowns for the most part. Should have developed the series going forward, not backwards.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
