This was hands down the best "superhero" movie I've ever seen, precisely because it didn't feel like a superhero movie. Iron Man may have had slicker visuals and action sequences, but The Dark Knight has set a new standard for story depth and pathos. I know it's already been said ad nauseum, but I have to reiterate the Heath Ledger was absolutely amazing as The Joker. Nicholson who? I'll be going back to see this again at least a few more times.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
