Was expecting a certain something and got SOOOOO much more! i was pleasantly surprised by the entire story line. i was worried that it would be corny and so far gone from the original 'alice thru the looking glass', but all the characters (old and new) were absolutely entertaining and just as fun to love/hate as the original cast. dnt get me wrong, this isn't a siskel/ebert critique here, this is just an alice loving fan who happens to be quite fond of the dark work of Burton. both queens were amazing. Depp. Amazing. the Caterpiller. Hilarious. even Alice 'did her thing' up there. it was a truly wonderous event! (and for $15 a ticket, anything less would be just 'mad'!)
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Prepare to be fully entertained boys & girls! G.I.JOE has it all! girl fights, kick-butt weaponry, cheesy one liners that are so silly u can't do anything BUT laugh. u've got ur token black guy, token hot untouchable chick, and ur token all american soldier hero for a main character. add some deep rooted sibling rivalry, and long lost thought dead characters to taste and u, my friend have the makings of a movie du jour of the summer!

friggin' phenomenal! Robert is fantastic, Bridges is a great villian and Terrence never lets me down. no comment on Ms. Paltrow, I could've done a better acting job there. it seems as though all of Sparks hilariously dry quips and wit was lost on her character. not sure if that's how it was supposed to be or just bad acting on her part. special effects were intense, insance, and indescribable. script was quirky, not too lengthy and quite comical. i went for pure pleasure and that's exactly what i got! fun for the kids and not too scary for the little ones. fast cars, fast women, weapons of mass destruction and burger king...all the makings of legends. GO SEE IT!
