just bad overall not worth a rental not even one of those copies you buy off the street if someone gave me a copy i might watch in fact that how i saw this film

what stinks about going to the movies is paying the high prices before you see the movie , this film was good and would be a great rental or a good addition to your film collection but not worth a trip to the movies

ACTION AT IT'S BEST

this film was well done a throwback to the early action films of the 80's and 90's it was clear early on that ego was not a factor in this film with a cast this big you would expect the movie to bomb[valentine's day anyone]but the casting in this film was superb and the action scenes were well done it also had some humor which was great all in all a great fun film to watch

this is a fitting end to a great series of movies however they did leave it open to a new group of sequels ,this film had some funny and sad moments and it was nice the original cast members came back ,it was a fun movie for the kids

my main concern with this film was that it would ruin a classic much like many hollywood remakes but what you need to remember is that some of the movies we loved as kids were remakes of our parents childhood favorites this is a now generation karate kid and in my opnion the best one of the franchise ,Jaden Smith shines,his commitment to the physical aspect of the film is amazing given his age the movie has sad moments,and action, but above all a fantastic story folks will connect with this is a must see film

good comedy

we know Adam Sandler is funny but this type of movie is more his style i saw this with 3 of my buddies and we had a good time one of the first movies i have seen where to many big name actors did not ruin it ,a little long for a comedy but funny as hell old people in the theater were laughing it was a good time

great kids movie

M. Night Shyamalan is a great story teller but what he lacks as a director is depth judging from the previews it looked as though this movie would have a ton of action not the case it had a good amount just enough to keep an adult entertained but i saw this with my 11 year old son and he loved it now it was only the first of a possible 3 movies so maybe the next few will have more action for me, so not worth the 3d price only had 2 real scenes that you would want in 3d but overall great kids movie

great remake

pure homage would be a great word for this remake though the original cast said it was to dark of a film i thought it captured the spirit of the original show my main concern was the characters how would they compare let's start with liam what can you say other than the fact that he is the man ,quentin although he needs some work on acting he did an ok job, bradley was a good choice for the face man character but to me was a skater surfer kind of face man not a country club con artist like the original face and then there is sharlto copley in this movie you forget that the has only done 2 major films i cant imagine anyone else playing murdock other than dwight of course he did an amazing job overall this film has great action great humor and was well made, go see it

TRUE TO FORM

this movie was the best and truest adaption of a video game yet the cast was top notch alfred molina shines in a comical way gemma arterton once again shows why she has become hollywood's newest sex symbol the plus side she can also act but my main concern was the role of daston played by gyllenhaal i did not feel he could pull this role off but i was wrong and now i cant imagine anyone else in that role this movie was full of action from start to finish just enough humor to bridge the gaps great special effects the only thing was at times some of the parkour stunts were shot wrong other than that this movie is epic i hope they make a sequel
