The performance by Heath Ledger as the Joker certainly stole the show, and everyone else paled by comparison. The good versus evil theme went far beyond the plot and should have every serious adult re-evaluating the morals of society.
Not surprisingly, the females attending either viewed the movie as just okay, or absolutely hated it, while the guys gave it a substantially higher rating. Some of the criticism revolved around the filming of action scenes and not really being able to distinguish what was really happening. The zoom should have been taken out just a bit to make things more recognizable by them.
A group of us saw the movie in a less than half full theater during its second weekend and I wondered how it achieved top box office sales on its first week and in the second week was sparsely attended. Apparently, it doesn't have the come back draw as the hype would have expected.
