Another Great Underworld Movie

If you like this franchise, you will not be disappointed. Selene is at her most lethal and the cast has some interesting new characters with a foreshadowing of the return of a particular favorite if there is an Underworld 5. I am not sure 3D added that much to this movie but it was cool at times. We really enjoyed the movie and it was a rapid paced vampire/lycan romp.

Finally a Quality Production!

Bill Condon was a blessing to this movie franchise. This was a beautifully shot, edited and acted movie that shifted the focus back to the emotional center of these movies -- Bella and her love for Edward. And anyone who has seen the movie knows how beautifully the attractive cast finally appears. Although the story line of the books becomes increasingly implausible, the movie was emotionally compelling and effectively used the tension between the wolves and vampires to keep the level of excitement high. Beautiful flick for a genre film. Well worth seeing on multiple occasions! Bravo Bill Condon!

Great Fun for a Holiday Weekend!

This movie was really funny with great performances from top to bottom. It's no work of art, but it is well made, well written and well acted. We laughed from beginning to end and continued to laugh on the drive home. It's been a great summer for female-driven comedy movies.

A Lovely Tale

Romantic date movie really perfect for the evening we planned. Some of the violence, particularly toward animals, was a bit hard to take, but the performances were wonderful, including Robert Pattinson's. Go figure! Great visuals and a compelling story line. Very satisfying ending.

Most Dramatic HP Movie To Date

This was a gripping and dramatic interpretation of the the first half of Deathly Hallows. The acting, focused on the three primary characters, was excellent. The narrative, free of many of the small and unimportant details of the book, was excellent. I have read the book multiple times and felt the choices made moved the plot line along at a much more engaging clip than the book. If you love Harry Potter, I would be surprised if you didn't find this movie gripping and moving. See it!

The Best Twilight Movie to Date

What a great evening's entertainment! My friend and I agreed this was the best of the three Twilight movies. The plot was gripping, if intense. The relationship between Bella and Edward deepens and the tension between Bella and her werewolf friend is fully realized. I particularly appreciated the increasing depth of background provided as to more of the Cullen clan. I am excited at the prospect of two additional movies. With Bill Condon directing the last two movies, the franchise can only go up from here. Action: A; Production Values: A; Cinematography: A-; Acting: B+; Script: A. See this movie if you are hooked on Twilight. I promise you won't be disappointed. It's a real holiday treat.

This Movie is Very Entertaining!

Prince of Persia is not intended to be high art. It is rather an action film with good special effects, likable and attractive stars, and a fast paced plot with beautiful settings. What is up with all the cinematic critique? My friend and I really enjoyed seeing the movie. It was a total escape. Think of movies like "The Mummy" and you will get the general drift. If you are looking for a diversion from your everyday life, then you will likely be entertained and diverted. I will probably see it again. It was fun!

Cute, Moving and Funny

What a great movie for both kids and adults. Having never seen one of the Ice Age movies, I was wondering what to expect. After a long stressful week, this movie was a great respite from contemporary concerns. The cast of voices was outstanding and the plot was touching. I sometimes wonder what it is that the critics are looking for in animated movies. They obviously are looking for something different than I am. A fun afternoon.

The Professiona Critics are Wrong Yet Again

What a great evening of entertainment! The professional film critics have skewered this film as lacking in "humanity" and as too slow paced at points. What can they be thinking? This movie is fast paced and enjoyable. It's action entertainment, not Anna Karenina. My companion for the evening and I enjoyed the film. It kept you on the edge of your seat, moved at a breakneck pace, and made sense in terms of future charcter development. Although the continuity of the characters from the beginning of the film until their later reappearance was a tad confusing, the average filmgoer is more than up to the task.Stay all the way through the credits to see one more piece of the plot line resolved.

An Adolescent Escape

What a lovely little movie. Although the plot line is a bit tortured, the characters are surprisingly well developed in a short period of time. Their is palpable sexual and romantic chemistry between the lead characters. A great escape to an innocent relationship which is highly unlikely in contemporary life. A fun evening.
