It's a Pocahontas rerun on a sci-fi setting, aren't they speaking some native indian language, or is it the way they dress and act? This is followed by Lord of the Rings / Star Wars battle scenes taking up the majority of the second half of the movie, a la James Bond.
The Avatar concept yields some interesting twists to the plot.
Many will find attractive the evasive simulated computer cinematography and the bright colors. To me it works for a little bit until you realize this other world is just a very Earthly tropical forest in phosphorescent color, the way most of us have discovered through ... the Jurasic Park movie. But in this case go for IMAX.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
