A movie that could have been great

I agree with the others that the effects and splendor of the movie were stunning. Too bad the director thought the story needed to be dumbed down for whatever reason. It needed a bit more Lord of the Rings maybe? I can't put my finger on it but it just felt like any other Sci-Fi movie after all was said and done......and that's really too bad
Yes, I recommend this movie.
