They did an amazing job with this movie! Stuck really close to the book and had great special effects to top it all off. Make sure not to miss this one as it is the best of them all so far!
The chipmunks as always allowed me to return to my childhood. The plot of this film was cute but a bit cheesy. The when I learned that they brought back David Cross I was a bit hesitant as his character annoyed the heck out of me in number one but I was all worth it to see him at the end! It was a great movie for all ages and I encourage you to see it whether you have kids or not. Make sure you see the first one first though or parts of the film wont make sense.
While some of the acting was still not amazing, the main characters did ok and the movie came out far ahead of Twilight as far as effects, acting and staying true to the book. There were a great deal of funny moments throughout the movie to lighten the depressing storyline AND there were moments that were supposed to be serious and depressing that a majority of our audience found ridiculous and were dying of laughter. But overall the movie was well done and worth the $7
Honestly, I have been a HUGE HP fan for years. I was really looking forward to this film as HBP was one of my favorite books in the series, however, while they had plenty of the romance and relationship development, they totally cut out a majority of the action that was promised in the books. I would still recommend it to everyone. Those who haven't read the books might understand things a bit better if you read it along with going to the film.
While the movie had a majority of humor coming from "potty" jokes, a great deal of the humor was also drawn from biblical jokes, Old Testament style which made the movie quite hilarious. Yes, it did drag a bit at the beginning and had a great deal of lame bits that leave you wanting the movie to end but overall, the biblical humor makes it worth the money.
This movie was fantastic. Sandra Bulock has yet to disappoint me in a movie, this was hilarious throughout with lots of touching, feel-good and heartbreaking moments thrown in. The supporting cast was outstanding as well. You are missing out if you don't see this movie. I went with my parents and we all loved it!
While I wouldn't pick this to be the best film I've seen ever It is definitely one of the best I've seen recently...second to Up. Go see this and you will not be disappointed!
I went and saw this movie with my parents and we loved every minute of it. We laughed till we wheezed and also had some moments where you are on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. I have heard some people saying that younger children will not like it but I disagree. I had a four year old, a six year old and their mother sitting right next to me and the children had seen it with her three times since it had come out. The four year old was reciting all her favorite lines. Make sure you spend the extra few dollars to see it in 3D, it really does enhance the magic.
Phenomenal film, It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time because you couldn't help but want to be closer to the action. I would recommend it to all ages. It has its sad moments yes, but that is the reality of life. Make sure to stay for the credits though because you get to see how they filmed it, which is totally worth the extra few minutes.
I found myself checking the time more than once during this film. Parts of it were great but other parts found me thinking that perhaps they could have done it in a less graphic and shorter way. Could have used an "intermission" of sorts. Don't bring anyone remotely squeamish, its nasty.
