From the slums of Mumbai to the palace of a crime lord, Danny Boyle has fully captured the horror and the beauty and the spirit of the citizens of Mumbai and crafted it into a spectacular story of survival, hope and love.
He takes the lexicon of Hindi language cinema and turns it into a treat for Western audiences. The acting, how the story unfolds, the music, everything comes together for a visual feast. I will see this again in the theatres when it goes into limited release later this month, and will bring a crowd of people with me. This is a visual treat that should not be missed by any cinema lover.
