Great Use of 3D

My first thought upon hearing about Avatar 3D was...okay, this is going to be an over-the-top joke. There is no way this is going to be immersive. I was wrong. The 3D is elegantly pulled off to suck you into the story without distracting from the plot. The environments are expansive and extremely realistic (depsite the waterfalls on the floating mountains...that makes no sense). The story is a faster moving and Eco take on Dances with Wolves. But it does so without beating you over the head with the message. Great movie, and I can't imagine seeing this any other way than in 3D.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
