I had a difficult time finding out what this movie was about from the previews and synopsis I had seen and read. All they could say was this was a couple, that didn't really give me anything to go on. I adore Kate Winslet, but I've never been a huge fan of Leonardo, so needless to say I went in with some prejudices. The journey you are brought on is harrowing, depressing and wonderful all in the same. I really found myself wondering, faced with the same obstacles, what would I have chosen?
I won't give anything away - but the ending just tore my heart out. Wonderful performances all around from Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio and the amazing Michael Shannon. Try not to miss this one, but be sure to bring some tissues.
